kgdb_nmi_tty_enabled is used for two unrelated purposes, namely to
suppress normal TTY input handling and to suppress console output
(although it has no effect at all on TTY output). A much better way to
handle muting the console is to not have to mute it in the first place!
That's what this patch does.

kgdb_nmi uses tasklets on the assumption they will not be scheduled
until the next timer tick. This assumption is invalid and can lead to
live lock, continually servicing the kgdb_nmi tasklet. This is fixed
by using the timer API instead.

This corrects a crash in kgdb_nmi_tty_shutdown() which occurs when
the function is called with port->tty set to NULL.
All conversions between struct tty_port and struct kgdb_nmi_tty_priv
have been switched to direct calls to container_of() to improve code
clarity and consistancy.

In (c7d44a02a serial_core: Commonalize crlf when working w/ a non open
console port) the core was modified to make the UART poll_put_char()
automatically convert LF to CRLF. This driver's poll_put_char() adds a
CR itself and this was not disabled by the above patch meaning
currently it sends two CR characters.
The code to issue a character is shared by the console write code (where
driver must do LF to CRLF conversion, although it can make use of the
uart_console_write() helper function) and the poll_put_char (where
driver must not do the conversion). For that reason we add a flag rather
than simply rip out the conversion code.

After 07d410e0) serial: sirf: fix spinlock deadlock issue it is no longer
possiblet to compile this driver. The rename of one of the spinlocks is
faulty. After looking at the original patch I believe this is the correct
fix.

kmalloc the SPI rx and tx data buffers. This appears to be the only
portable way to guarantee that the buffers are DMA-safe (e.g., in
separate DMA cache-lines). This patch makes the spi_rdX()/spi_wrX()
non-reentrant, but that's OK because calls to them are guaranteed to
be serialized by the per-HCD SPI-thread.

Second, I tested this VT6315 rev 1 without CYCLE_TIMER quirk flag using

and found that this chip does in fact access the cycle timer atomically.
Things I can't test because I don't have the hardware:
- whether VT6315 rev 0 really needs QUIRK_CYCLE_TIMER,
- whether the VT6320 PCI device needs QUIRK_CYCLE_TIMER,
- whether the VT6325 and VT6330 PCIe devices need QUIRK_CYCLE_TIMER
and QUIRK_NO_MSI.
Hence, just add a whitelist entry specifically for VT6315 rev >= 1
without any quirk flags. Before this entry we need an extra entry to
catch VT6315 rev <= 0 due to how our ID matching logic works.

If devices are not SG starved, we waste a lot of time potentially
collapsing SG segments. Enough that 1.5% of the CPU time goes
to this, at only 400K IOPS. Add a queue flag, QUEUE_FLAG_NO_SG_MERGE,
which just returns the number of vectors in a bio instead of looping
over all segments and checking for collapsible ones.
Add a BLK_MQ_F_SG_MERGE flag so that drivers can opt-in on the sg
merging, if they so desire.

WM8804 can run with PLL frequencies of 256xfs and 128xfs for
most sample rates. At 192kHz only 128xfs is supported. The
existing driver selects 128xfs automatically for some lower
samples rates. By using an additional mclk_div divider, it
is now possible to control the behaviour. This allows using
256xfs PLL frequency on all sample rates up to 96kHz. It
should allow lower jitter and better signal quality. The
behavior has to be controlled by the sound card driver,
because some sample frequency share the same setting. e.g.
192kHz and 96kHz use 24.576MHz master clock. The only
difference is the MCLK divider.

Dropping the def association and sequence from pinconf comparing is a
bit risky, It will introduce a greater risk of catching unwanted
machines.
And in addition, so far no BIOS experts give us an explicit answer
whether it makes senses to compare these two fields or not.
For safety reason, we revert this commit.

Undo a feature introduced in v3.14 by commit fcd46b3442
"firewire: Enable remote DMA above 4 GB". That change raised the
minimum address at which protocol drivers and user programs can register
for request reception from 0x0001'0000'0000 to 0x8000'0000'0000.
It turned out that at least one vendor-specific protocol exists which
uses lower addresses: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76921
For the time being, revert most of commit fcd46b3442 so that affected
protocols work like with kernel v3.13 and before. Just keep the valid
documentation parts from the regressing commit, and the ability to
identify controllers which could be programmed to accept >32 bit
physical DMA addresses. The rest of fcd46b3442 should probably be
brought back as an optional instead of default feature.

Commit 9c7e535fcc ("arm64: mm: Route pmd thp functions through pte
equivalents") changed the pmd manipulator and accessor functions to
convert the target pmd to a pte, process it with the pte functions, then
convert it back. Along the way, we gained support for PTE_WRITE, however
this is completely ignored by set_pmd_at, and so we fail to set the
PMD_SECT_RDONLY for PMDs, resulting in all sorts of lovely failures (like
CoW not working).
Partially reverting the offending commit (by making use of
PMD_SECT_RDONLY explicitly for pmd_{write,wrprotect,mkwrite} functions)
leads to further issues because pmd_write can then return potentially
incorrect values for page table entries marked as RDONLY, leading to
BUG_ON(pmd_write(entry)) tripping under some THP workloads.
This patch fixes the issue by routing set_pmd_at through set_pte_at,
which correctly takes the PTE_WRITE flag into account. Given that
THP mappings are always anonymous, the additional cache-flushing code
in __sync_icache_dcache won't impose any significant overhead as the
flush will be skipped.

'cma: Remove potential deadlock situation' introduces per cma area mutex
for bitmap management. It is good, but there is one mistake. When we
can't find appropriate area in bitmap, we release cma_mutex global lock
rather than cma->lock and this is a bug. So fix it.

Check for NULL before using the acl in the access type switch
statement. This seems to be consistent with what is done in the JFFS
and ext4 filesystems and with the behaviour of JFS in the 3.13 kernel.
The bug seemed to be introduced in commit 2cc6a5a0.
The bug results in a kernel Oops, NULL dereference could not be handled
when accessing a JFS filesystem. The rdiff-backup process seemed to

Handling calls to ->target_index() has got complex over time and might become
more complex. So, its better to take target_index() bits out in another routine
__target_index() for better code readability. Shouldn't have any functional
impact.

In "-n" mode, reserved tables (RSDP/RSDT/XSDT/DSDT/FACS) are dumped
multiple times due a missing instance check in osl_get_bios_table().
This patch fixes this issue.
