DEBUG_PAGEALLOC removes the valid bit of page table entries to prevent
any access to unallocated memory. Hibernate uses this as a hint that those
pages don't need to be saved/restored. This patch adds the
kernel_page_present() function it uses.
hibernate.c copies the resume kernel's linear map for use during restore.
Add _copy_pte() to fill-in the holes made by DEBUG_PAGEALLOC in the resume
kernel, so we can restore data the original kernel had at these addresses.
Finally, DEBUG_PAGEALLOC means the linear-map alias of KERNEL_START to
KERNEL_END may have holes in it, so we can't lazily clean this whole
area to the PoC. Only clean the new mmuoff region, and the kernel/kvm
idmaps.

Resume from hibernate needs to clean any text executed by the kernel with
the MMU off to the PoC. Collect these functions together into the
.idmap.text section as all this code is tightly coupled and also needs
the same cleaning after resume.
Data is more complicated, secondary_holding_pen_release is written with
the MMU on, clean and invalidated, then read with the MMU off. In contrast
__boot_cpu_mode is written with the MMU off, the corresponding cache line
is invalidated, so when we read it with the MMU on we don't get stale data.
These cache maintenance operations conflict with each other if the values
are within a Cache Writeback Granule (CWG) of each other.
Collect the data into two sections .mmuoff.data.read and .mmuoff.data.write,
the linker script ensures mmuoff.data.write section is aligned to the
architectural maximum CWG of 2KB.

Each time new section markers are added, kernel/vmlinux.ld.S is updated,
and new extern char __start_foo[] definitions are scattered through the
tree.
Create asm/include/sections.h to collect these definitions (and include
the existing asm-generic version).

For LSE atomics that read and write a register operand, we need to
ensure that these operands are annotated as "early clobber" if the
register is written before all of the input operands have been consumed.
Failure to do so can result in the compiler allocating the same register
to both operands, leading to splats such as:

If the spinlock "next" ticket wraps around between the initial LDR
and the cmpxchg in the LSE version of spin_trylock, then we can erroneously
think that we have successfuly acquired the lock because we only check
whether the next ticket return by the cmpxchg is equal to the owner ticket
in our updated lock word.
This patch fixes the issue by performing a full 32-bit check of the lock
word when trying to determine whether or not the CASA instruction updated
memory.

There is code duplicated over all architecture's headers for
futex_atomic_op_inuser. Namely op decoding, access_ok check for uaddr,
and comparison of the result.
Remove this duplication and leave up to the arches only the needed
assembly which is now in arch_futex_atomic_op_inuser.
This effectively distributes the Will Deacon's arm64 fix for undefined
behaviour reported by UBSAN to all architectures. The fix was done in
commit 5f16a046f8e1 (arm64: futex: Fix undefined behaviour with
FUTEX_OP_OPARG_SHIFT usage). Look there for an example dump.
And as suggested by Thomas, check for negative oparg too, because it was
also reported to cause undefined behaviour report.
Note that s390 removed access_ok check in d12a29703 ("s390/uaccess:
remove pointless access_ok() checks") as access_ok there returns true.
We introduce it back to the helper for the sake of simplicity (it gets
optimized away anyway).

Some variants of the Arm Cortex-55 cores (r0p0, r0p1, r1p0) suffer
from an erratum 1024718, which causes incorrect updates when DBM/AP
bits in a page table entry is modified without a break-before-make
sequence. The work around is to skip enabling the hardware DBM feature
on the affected cores. The hardware Access Flag management features
is not affected. There are some other cores suffering from this
errata, which could be added to the midr_list to trigger the work
around.

syz-executor1 uses obsolete (PF_INET,SOCK_PACKET)
sock: process `syz-executor0' is using obsolete setsockopt SO_BSDCOMPAT
This patch attempts to fix some of this by:
* Making encoded_op an unsigned type, so we can shift it left even if
the top bit is set.
* Casting to signed prior to shifting right when extracting oparg
and cmparg
* Consider only the bottom 5 bits of oparg when using it as a left-shift
value.
Whilst I think this catches all of the issues, I'd much prefer to remove
this stuff, as I think it's unused and the bugs are copy-pasted between
a bunch of architectures.

On arm64, currently section size is hard-coded to 1G.
Make this configurable if hotplug is enabled to support
more finer granularity for hotplug-able memory.

It would be preferrable to use GENMASK_ULL() instead, but it's not set

Kryo cores are exposed to two vulnerabilities due to subroutine return
(called LINK-STACK) and branch target predictors.
These two issues can be mitigated through software workarounds.
Kernel:
- Apply LINK-STACK mitigation which is to issue 16 nested BL instructions
on process context switch 'cpu_do_switch_mm()' where ASID changes.
- Apply psci based branch predictor invalidation.

Aliasing attacks against CPU branch predictors can allow the attacks to
redirect speculative control flow on some CPUs and potentially divulge
information from one context to another.
This patch adds initial skeleton code behind a new Kconfig option to
enable implementation-specific mitigations against these attacks for
CPUs that are affected.

Currently we call the (optional) enable function for CPU _features_
only. As CPU _errata_ descriptions share the same data structure and
having an enable function is useful for errata as well (for instance
to set bits in SCTLR), lets call it when enumerating erratas too.

With ARM64_SW_TTBR0_PAN enabled, the exception entry code checks the
active ASID to decide whether user access was enabled (non-zero ASID)
when the exception was taken. On return from exception, if user access
was previously disabled, it re-instates TTBR0_EL1 from the per-thread
saved value (updated in switch_mm() or efi_set_pgd()).
Commit 7655abb95386 ("arm64: mm: Move ASID from TTBR0 to TTBR1") makes a
TTBR0_EL1 + ASID switching non-atomic. Subsequently, commit 27a921e75711
("arm64: mm: Fix and re-enable ARM64_SW_TTBR0_PAN") changes the
__uaccess_ttbr0_disable() function and asm macro to first write the
reserved TTBR0_EL1 followed by the ASID=0 update in TTBR1_EL1. If an
exception occurs between these two, the exception return code will
re-instate a valid TTBR0_EL1. Similar scenario can happen in
cpu_switch_mm() between setting the reserved TTBR0_EL1 and the ASID
update in cpu_do_switch_mm().
This patch reverts the entry.S check for ASID == 0 to TTBR0_EL1 and
disables the interrupts around the TTBR0_EL1 and ASID switching code in
__uaccess_ttbr0_disable(). It also ensures that, when returning from the
EFI runtime services, efi_set_pgd() doesn't leave a non-zero ASID in
TTBR1_EL1 by using uaccess_ttbr0_{enable,disable}.
The accesses to current_thread_info()->ttbr0 are updated to use
READ_ONCE/WRITE_ONCE.
As a safety measure, __uaccess_ttbr0_enable() always masks out any
existing non-zero ASID TTBR1_EL1 before writing in the new ASID.

We will soon need to invoke a CPU-specific function pointer after changing
page tables, so move post_ttbr_update_workaround out into C code to make
this possible.

The post_ttbr0_update_workaround hook applies to any change to TTBRx_EL1.
Since we're using TTBR1 for the ASID, rename the hook to make it clearer
as to what it's doing.

We now trap accesses to CNTVCT_EL0 when the counter is broken
enough to require the kernel to mediate the access. But it
turns out that some existing userspace (such as OpenMPI) do
probe for the counter frequency, leading to an UNDEF exception
as CNTVCT_EL0 and CNTFRQ_EL0 share the same control bit.
The fix is to handle the exception the same way we do for CNTVCT_EL0.

The literal pool entry for identifying the vectors base is the only piece
of information in the trampoline page that identifies the true location
of the kernel.
This patch moves it into a page-aligned region of the .rodata section
and maps this adjacent to the trampoline text via an additional fixmap
entry, which protects against any accidental leakage of the trampoline
contents.

Allow explicit disabling of the entry trampoline on the kernel command
line (kpti=off) by adding a fake CPU feature (ARM64_UNMAP_KERNEL_AT_EL0)
that can be used to toggle the alternative sequences in our entry code and

The exception entry trampoline needs to be mapped at the same virtual
address in both the trampoline page table (which maps nothing else)
and also the kernel page table, so that we can swizzle TTBR1_EL1 on
exceptions from and return to EL0.
This patch maps the trampoline at a fixed virtual address in the fixmap
area of the kernel virtual address space, which allows the kernel proper
to be randomized with respect to the trampoline when KASLR is enabled.

Since an mm has both a kernel and a user ASID, we need to ensure that
broadcast TLB maintenance targets both address spaces so that things
like CoW continue to work with the uaccess primitives in the kernel.

In order for code such as TLB invalidation to operate efficiently when
the decision to map the kernel at EL0 is determined at runtime, this
patch introduces a helper function, arm64_kernel_unmapped_at_el0, to
determine whether or not the kernel is mapped whilst running in userspace.
Currently, this just reports the value of CONFIG_UNMAP_KERNEL_AT_EL0,
but will later be hooked up to a fake CPU capability using a static key.
