f0cae93f3f usb: gadget: gadgetfs: correct dev state
This reverts commit 1826e9b1 (usb: gadget: gadgetfs: use
after free in dev_release()) and places the call to
put_dev() after setting the state.

If this is not the final call to dev_release() and the
state is not reset to STATE_DEV_DISABLED and hence all
further open() calls to the gadgetfs ep0 device will
fail with EBUSY.

14574b546d usb: gadget: OS descriptors: provide interface directory names
Function's interface directories need to be created when the function
directory is created, but interface numbers are not known until
the gadget is ready and bound to udc, so we cannot use numbers
as part of interface directory names.
Let the client decide what names to use.

f0688c8b81 usb: gadget: f_fs: fix NULL pointer dereference when there are no strings
If the descriptors do not need any strings and user space sends empty
set of strings, the ffs->stringtabs field remains NULL.  Thus
*ffs->stringtabs in functionfs_bind leads to a NULL pointer
dereferenece.

The bug was introduced by commit [fd7c9a007f: “use usb_string_ids_n()”].

While at it, remove double initialisation of lang local variable in
that function.

ffs->strings_count does not need to be checked in any way since in
the above scenario it will remain zero and usb_string_ids_n() is
a no-operation when colled with 0 argument.

The ux500 MUSB driver propagates the OF node to the dynamically
created musb-hdrc device, which is incorrect as it makes the OF
core believe there are two devices spun from the very same
DT node, which confuses other parts of the device core, notably
the pin control subsystem, which will try to apply all the pin
control settings also to the HDRC device as it gets
instantiated. (The OMAP2430 for example, does not set the
of_node member.)

It wasn't problem for us before, because some USB class doesn't use

a923207637 usb: gadget: u_ether: synchronize with transmit when stopping queue
When disconnecting, it's possible that another thread has already made it
into eth_start_xmit before we call netif_stop_queue. This can lead to a
crash as eth_start_xmit tries to use resources that gether_disconnect is
freeing. Use netif_tx_lock/unlock around netif_stop_queue to ensure no
threads are executing during the remainder of gether_disconnect.

f2af74123f tools: ffs-test: convert to new descriptor format fixing compilation error
Commit [ac8dde11: “usb: gadget: f_fs: Add flags to descriptors block”]
which introduced a new descriptor format for FunctionFS removed the
usb_functionfs_descs_head structure, which is still used by ffs-test.
tool.

Convert ffs-test by converting it to use the new header format.  For
testing kernels prior to 3.14 (when the new format was introduced) and
parsing of the legacy headers in the new kernels, provide a compilation
flag to make the tool use the old format.

Finally, include information as to when the legacy FunctionFS headers
format has been deprecated (which is also when the new one has been
introduced).

5cd8c48d95 usb: dwc3: gadget: check link trb after free_slot is increased
In ISOC transfers, when free_slot points to the last TRB (i.e. Link
TRB), and all queued requests meet Missed Interval Isoc error, busy_slot
points to trb0.
	busy_slot->trb0
		   trb1
		   ...
	free_slot->trb31(Link TRB)

After end transfer and receiving the XferNotReady event, trb_left is
caculated as 1 which is wrong, and no TRB will be primed to the
endpoint.

The root cause is free_slot is not increased the same way as busy_slot.
When busy_slot is increased by one, it checks if points to a link TRB
after increasement, but free_slot checks it before increasement.
free_slot should behave the same as busy_slot to make the trb_left
caculation correct.

7cb060a91c KVM: x86: preserve the high 32-bits of the PAT register
KVM does not really do much with the PAT, so this went unnoticed for a
long time.  It is exposed however if you try to do rdmsr on the PAT
register.

e1fa108d24 kvm: fix wrong address when writing Hyper-V tsc page
When kvm_write_guest writes the tsc_ref structure to the guest, or it will lead
the low HV_X64_MSR_TSC_REFERENCE_ADDRESS_SHIFT bits of the TSC page address
must be cleared, or the guest can see a non-zero sequence number.

Otherwise Windows guests would not be able to get a correct clocksource
(QueryPerformanceCounter will always return 0) which causes serious chaos.

6a78371ace ARM: perf: fix compiler warning with gcc 4.6.4 (and tidy code)
GCC 4.6.4 spits out the following warning when building perf_event_v7.c:

arch/arm/kernel/perf_event_v7.c:1927:6: warning: 'bit' may be used uninitialized in this function

While upgrading the version of gcc may solve this, the code can also be
organised to be more efficient by not carrying more local variables than
is necessary across the armv7pmu_get_event_idx function call.  If we set
'bit' to -1 (which is invalid for clear_bit) we can use that as an
indication whether we need to clear a bit after this function.

A number of configurations spit out warnings similar to:

Clean up the dependencies here:
* PL310 symbols should only be selected when CACHE_L2X0 is enabled.
* Since the cache-l2x0 code detects PL310 presence at runtime, and we will
  eventually get rid of CACHE_PL310, surround these errata options with an
  if CACHE_L2X0 conditional rather than repeating the dependency against
  each.

682367c494 KVM: x86: Increase the number of fixed MTRR regs to 10
Recent Intel CPUs have 10 variable range MTRRs. Since operating systems
sometime make assumptions on CPUs while they ignore capability MSRs, it is
better for KVM to be consistent with recent CPUs. Reporting more MTRRs than
actually supported has no functional implications.

Two reasons for this rename.  Firstly, it removes the camel case
convention which isn't used by any other platform and secondly it

fb54918af7 drm: fix uninitialized acquire_ctx fields (v2)
The acquire ctx will typically be declared on the stack, which means we
could have garbage values for any uninitialized field.  In this case, it
was triggering WARN_ON()s because 'contended' had garbage value.

Go ahead and use memset() to be more future-proof.

ff5e92c1af net: sctp: propagate sysctl errors from proc_do* properly
sysctl handler proc_sctp_do_hmac_alg(), proc_sctp_do_rto_min() and
proc_sctp_do_rto_max() do not properly reflect some error cases
when writing values via sysctl from internal proc functions such
as proc_dointvec() and proc_dostring().

In all these cases we pass the test for write != 0 and partially
do additional work just to notice that additional sanity checks
fail and we return with hard-coded -EINVAL while proc_do*
functions might also return different errors. So fix this up by
simply testing a successful return of proc_do* right after
calling it.

This also allows to propagate its return value onwards to the user.
While touching this, also fix up some minor style issues.

5a7baa7885 bonding: Advertize vxlan offload features when supported
When the underlying device supports TCP offloads for VXLAN/UDP
encapulated traffic, we need to reflect that through the hw_enc_features
field of the bonding net-device. This will cause the xmit path
in the core networking stack to provide bonding with encapsulated
GSO frames to offload into the HW etc.

With commit aed3f9d498 ("staging: comedi: addi_apci_1564:
absorb apci1564_reset()"), the apci 1564 driver has gained
a dependency on the addi watchdog module, which is not reflected
correctly in Kconfig, and that can lead to link errors
when the watchdog is disabled.

This adds an explicit 'select', like it is done in the other
addi apci drivers that need it.

drm_vblank_get() is necessary to ensure the DRM vblank counter value is
up to date in drm_send_vblank_event().

dc559aabe2 cpuidle: mvebu: Fix the name of the states
The length name of the states 2 was too long to fit in the allocated
string (limited to 16 bytes). This lead to improper string displayed
through sysfs.

This patch shorten the name by removing the reference to Marvell and
to the CPU as both are implicit. For coherency the same change have
been done for the states 1.

fefa8ff810 cpufreq: unlock when failing cpufreq_update_policy()
Commit bd0fa9bb45 introduced a failure path to cpufreq_update_policy() if
cpufreq_driver->get(cpu) returns NULL.  However, it jumps to the 'no_policy'
label, which exits without unlocking any of the locks the function acquired
earlier.  This causes later calls into cpufreq to hang.

Fix this by creating a new 'unlock' label and jumping to that instead.

a981296f04 Documentation: Fix DocBook build with relative $(srctree)
After commits 890676c6 (kbuild: Use relative path when building in the source
tree) and 9da0763b (kbuild: Use relative path when building in a subdir
of the source tree), the $(srctree) variable can be a relative path.
This breaks Documentation/DocBook/media/Makefile, because it tries to
create symlinks from a subdirectory of the object tree to the source
tree. Fix this by using a full path in this case.
