ed213eda1c f2fs: cleanup not used anymore max_file_size()
Remove declaration of function max_file_size(). It was added
with:

63ba8a3 BACKPORT: f2fs: add a max block check for get_data_block_bmap

On merging of android-4.4@d68ba9f (4.4.89) functional part of
the above change was replaced with the upstream's one, which do
not use max_file_size() and also this function was renamed to
max_file_blocks() in its definition with change c1286ff. In
android-4.4 this func was static, hence no declaration line in
f2fs.h and this is why it was left alone in msm-4.4 without to
be noticed.

40c3aaa56a cpufreq: sched: update capacity request upon tick always
At present, sched_freq_tick() skips updating of capacity update when
current frequency is fmax.  This can cause incorrect frequency drop
when a CPU bound task goes into sleep for example :
  1) A task (A) enqueues onto CPU 0 and executes for long time.
  2) A new task (B) which has low task demand enqueues onto CPU 1 and
     executes long so becomes a CPU bound task.
  3) Both CPU 0 and 1 gets scheduler tick but skip sched_freq_tick()
     since current frequency is fmax.
  4) Task (A) sleeps and lower the CPU 0's capacity request.
  5) Because task (B) voted CPU capacity at step 2 with low demand and
     skipped to request afterwards, cluster frequency for both CPU 0
     and 1 drops to match capacity voted by CPU 1 at step 2 even though
     task (B) on CPU 1 requires max capacity.

Fix such incorrectness by not skipping CPU capacity voting at tick
path.

7ab48e4c8d sched/fair: prevent meaningless active migration
At present need_active_balance() determines whether an active
upmigration is needed by using capacity_of(). A CPU's capacity
may be reduced by RT pressure, and therefore distinguishing
capability differences with capacity_of() may lead to suboptimal
active migrations to less capable CPUs. Use capacity_orig_of
to distinguish differently capable CPUs in addition to
capacity_of(), thus avoiding placing tasks on less capable CPUs
due to instantaneous RT pressure.

be832f69a9 sched: walt: Leverage existing helper APIs to apply invariance
There's no need for a separate hierarchy of notifiers, APIs
and variables in walt.c for the purpose of applying frequency
and IPC invariance. Let's just use capacity_curr_of and get
rid of a lot of the infrastructure relating to capacity,
load_scale_factor etc.

50f363d768 power: qpnp_smb2: configure to extend DRP.DFP time in try.SNK
When both sides are doing DRP and the other side applies Rd near the end
of PMIC DFP cycle, sometimes, PMIC does not lock on into AttachedWait.SRC
and transitions back into Unattached.SNK.

If a resistance ranging (5.1k,300k) pulldown is applied and then 5.1kohms
pulldown is applied, then it takes 10-20ms to detect 5.1kohms.
Before this, if DRP.DFP time expires, then PMI transitions to UFP mode to
avoid extending DRP cycle time.

Fix it by extending DFP time. Note the total DRP time should still be
within max limit (100ms).

f45c23db73 power: smblib: extend wait time after force sink in try.SNK
In Try.SNK software implementation, after forcing sink, there
is a delay of tDRPTRY + Tccdebounce time, giviing opportunity
to the other side to be a SRC.

The current delay is 100ms < tDRPTRY (90ms) + Tccdebounce (20ms),
too short, which sometimes results in checking Tccdebounce_done
status too early.

Change the delay to 120ms.

7e41812c03 power: smblib: SW implementation of typeC try.SNK
Try.SNK allows a DRP that has a policy based preference to be a Sink
when connecting to another DRP to effect a transition from a destined
Source role to the Sink role.

This is a Software implementation for PMI8998.

Exiting from AttachWait.SRC State, a DRP that strongly prefers the
Sink role may optionally transition to Try.SNK instead of Attached.SRC.

When in the Try.SNK state, the port is querying to determine if the
port partner supports the Source role.

The port shall then transition to Attached.SNK when the SNK.Rp state
is detected for at least tTryCCDebounce and VBUS is detected

Alternatively, the port shall transition to TryWait.SRC if SNK.Rp state
is not detected tTryCCDebounce.

The port shall transition to Attached.SRC when SRC.Rd state is detected
on exactly one of the CC pins.

The port shall transition to Unattached.SNK after tDRPTry if neither of
the CC1 or CC2 pins is in the SRC.Rd state.

a71c664a97 soc: qcom: add SMMU support for virtualized audio ION driver
Update the virtualized audio ION driver to add SMMU support.
The virtualized audio ION driver will provide the ION memory
allocated from the guest VM to the physical VM to perform SMMU
mapping.

The virtualized audio ION driver will receive SMMU mapped
device address from physical VM and provide the device address
to its clients. Upon its client frees the memory, the virtualized
audio ION driver will request the physical VM to perform SMMU
un-mapping.

1bc3c0f656 soc: qcom: add audio apr and ion virtualization support
Add support for virtualized APR and ION frontend driver
for audio.
Virtualized APR frontend driver resides in guest VM and
supports all legacy APR APIs. It will rely on MSM_HAB
to communicate with APR backend driver, which resides in
physical VM, where legacy SMD is utilized for communication
between APPS and ADSP.
Virtualized ION driver currently is designed to extract
physical memory through hypervisor abstracted ion layer,
which can be shared between APPS and ADSP directly.

be7c8e9aaf diag: Remove AXI prefetch related padding
Currently, diag is adding padding of 256 bytes as
a workaround to get rid of AXI prefetch related h/w
issue while writing data to USB. The patch removes
the padding wherever h/w issue is not applicable to

d7a59889eb ALSA: usb-audio: Add length check after string desc copy
It might be possible that negative error code is returned
in 'len', when we try to copy USB string desc into the ID
name buf of snd_kcontrol instance. But even in that case,
we are terminating buf with 0 at the 'len' index, which
leads to memory corruption. And for good case where 'len'
is non-negative, usb_string func is terminating the buf
with 0.

Fix this by removing the termination of buf with '0'
in the caller function.

ad505a7b4f x86/alternatives: Fix alt_max_short macro to really be a max()

The alt_max_short() macro in asm/alternative.h does not work as
intended, leading to nasty bugs. E.g. alt_max_short("1", "3")
evaluates to 3, but alt_max_short("3", "1") evaluates to 1 -- not
exactly the maximum of 1 and 3.

In fact, I had to learn it the hard way by crashing my kernel in not
so funny ways by attempting to make use of the ALTENATIVE_2 macro
with alternatives where the first one was larger than the second
one.

According to [1] and commit dbe4058a6a ("x86/alternatives: Fix
ALTERNATIVE_2 padding generation properly") the right handed side
should read "-(-(a < b))" not "-(-(a - b))". Fix that, to make the
macro work as intended.

While at it, fix up the comments regarding the additional "-", too.
It's not about gas' usage of s32 but brain dead logic of having a
"true" value of -1 for the < operator ... *sigh*

Btw., the one in asm/alternative-asm.h is correct. And, apparently,
all current users of ALTERNATIVE_2() pass same sized alternatives,
avoiding to hit the bug.

In the code added to function submit_page_section by commit b1058b981,
sdio->bio can currently be NULL when calling dio_bio_submit.  This then
leads to a NULL pointer access in dio_bio_submit, so check for a NULL
bio in submit_page_section before trying to submit it instead.

Fixes xfstest generic/250 on gfs2.

    Read of size 1 by task ...

when some driver is un-bound and then bound again.
For example, this happens with FunctionFS driver when "ffs-test"
test application is run several times in a row.

If the driver has empty manufacturer ID string in initial static data,
it is then replaced with generated string. After driver unbinding
the generated string is freed, but the driver data still keep that
pointer. And if the driver is then bound again, that pointer
is re-used for string emptiness check.

The fix is to clean up the driver string data upon its unbinding
to drop the pointer to freed memory.

Since the whole clean-up procedure is done in line6_disconnect()
callback, we can simply call it in the error path instead of
open-coding the whole again.  It'll fix such an issue automagically.

The bug was spotted by syzkaller.

ca2523c9c5 ALSA: seq: Fix copy_from_user() call inside lock

The event handler in the virmidi sequencer code takes a read-lock for
the linked list traverse, while it's calling snd_seq_dump_var_event()
in the loop.  The latter function may expand the user-space data
depending on the event type.  It eventually invokes copy_from_user(),
which might be a potential dead-lock.

The sequencer core guarantees that the user-space data is passed only
with atomic=0 argument, but snd_virmidi_dev_receive_event() ignores it
and always takes read-lock().  For avoiding the problem above, this
patch introduces rwsem for non-atomic case, while keeping rwlock for
atomic case.

Also while we're at it: the superfluous irq flags is dropped in
snd_virmidi_input_open().

port via ioctl, as spotted by fuzzing.  snd_seq_create_port() creates
a port object and returns its pointer, but it doesn't take the
refcount, thus it can be deleted immediately by another thread.

snd_seq_system_client_ev_port_start() with the created port object

We may fix this in a few different ways, and in this patch, it's fixed
simply by taking the refcount properly at snd_seq_create_port() and
letting the caller unref the object after use.  Also, there is another
potential use-after-free by sprintf() call in snd_seq_create_port(),
and this is moved inside the lock.

This fix covers CVE-2017-15265.

Actually such a URB is killed properly at disconnection when the
device gets probed successfully, and what we need is to apply it for
the error-path, too.

In this patch, we apply snd_usb_mixer_disconnect() at releasing.
Also introduce a new flag, disconnected, to struct usb_mixer_interface

eb7f31673b usb: renesas_usbhs: Fix DMAC sequence for receiving zero-length packet

The DREQE bit of the DnFIFOSEL should be set to 1 after the DE bit of
USB-DMAC on R-Car SoCs is set to 1 after the USB-DMAC received a
zero-length packet. Otherwise, a transfer completion interruption
of USB-DMAC doesn't happen. Even if the driver changes the sequence,
normal operations (transmit/receive without zero-length packet) will
not cause any side-effects. So, this patch fixes the sequence anyway.

6a92b99970 KVM: nVMX: fix guest CR4 loading when emulating L2 to L1 exit

When KVM emulates an exit from L2 to L1, it loads L1 CR4 into the
guest CR4. Before this CR4 loading, the guest CR4 refers to L2
CR4. Because these two CR4's are in different levels of guest, we
should vmx_set_cr4() rather than kvm_set_cr4() here. The latter, which
is used to handle guest writes to its CR4, checks the guest change to
CR4 and may fail if the change is invalid.

The failure may cause trouble. Consider we start
  a L1 guest with non-zero L1 PCID in use,
     (i.e. L1 CR4.PCIDE == 1 && L1 CR3.PCID != 0)
and
  a L2 guest with L2 PCID disabled,
     (i.e. L2 CR4.PCIDE == 0)
and following events may happen:

1. If kvm_set_cr4() is used in load_vmcs12_host_state() to load L1 CR4
   into guest CR4 (in VMCS01) for L2 to L1 exit, it will fail because
   of PCID check. As a result, the guest CR4 recorded in L0 KVM (i.e.
   vcpu->arch.cr4) is left to the value of L2 CR4.

2. Later, if L1 attempts to change its CR4, e.g., clearing VMXE bit,
   kvm_set_cr4() in L0 KVM will think L1 also wants to enable PCID,
   because the wrong L2 CR4 is used by L0 KVM as L1 CR4. As L1
   CR3.PCID != 0, L0 KVM will inject GP to L1 guest.

The hid descriptor identifies the length and type of subordinate
descriptors for a device. If the received hid descriptor is smaller than
the size of the struct hid_descriptor, it is possible to cause
out-of-bounds.

In addition, if bNumDescriptors of the hid descriptor have an incorrect
value, this can also cause out-of-bounds while approaching hdesc->desc[n].

So check the size of hid descriptor and bNumDescriptors.

e7485f0f6a dmaengine: edma: Align the memcpy acnt array size with the transfer

Memory to Memory transfers does not have any special alignment needs
regarding to acnt array size, but if one of the areas are in memory mapped
regions (like PCIe memory), we need to make sure that the acnt array size
is aligned with the mem copy parameters.

Before "dmaengine: edma: Optimize memcpy operation" change the memcpy was set
up in a different way: acnt == number of bytes in a word based on
__ffs((src | dest | len), bcnt and ccnt for looping the necessary number of
words to comlete the trasnfer.

Instead of reverting the commit we can fix it to make sure that the ACNT size
is aligned to the traswnfer.

29b202ebf5 MIPS: math-emu: Remove pr_err() calls from fpu_emu()

The FPU emulator includes 2 calls to pr_err() which are triggered by
invalid instruction encodings for MIPSr6 cmp.cond.fmt instructions.
These cases are not kernel errors, merely invalid instructions which are
already handled by delivering a SIGILL which will provide notification
that something failed in cases where that makes sense.

In cases where that SIGILL is somewhat expected & being handled, for
example when crashme happens to generate one of the affected bad
encodings, the message is printed with no useful context about what
triggered it & spams the kernel log for no good reason.

Remove the pr_err() calls to make crashme run silently & treat the bad
encodings the same way we do others, with a SIGILL & no further kernel
log output.
