Linux-2.6.12-rc2 Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!

sh: Migrate SH-4 cacheflush ops to function pointers. This paves the way for allowing individual CPUs to overload the individual flushing routines that they care about without having to depend on weak aliases. SH-4 is converted over initially, as it wires up pretty much everything. The majority of the other CPUs will simply use the default no-op implementation with their own region flushers wired up. sh: Fix argument page dcache flushing regression. In the do_execve() path, argument page handling used to explicitly call flush_dcache_page() for each page, this has since been reworked and uses flush_kernel_dcache_page() instead, which is presently a nop. Doing a simple modprobe/rmmod in a loop under busybox consistently manages to crash without providing a sane flush_kernel_dcache_page() implementation, so, plug in a simple implementation.
