If user get root access and calls security.selinux setxattr() with an
embedded NUL on a file and then if some process performs a getxattr()
on that file with a length greater than the actual length of the string,
it would result in a panic.
To fix this, add the actual length of the string to the security context
instead of the length passed by the userspace process.

open permission is currently only defined for files in the kernel
(COMMON_FILE_PERMS rather than COMMON_FILE_SOCK_PERMS). Construction of
an artificial test case that tries to open a socket via /proc/pid/fd will
generate a recvfrom avc denial because recvfrom and open happen to map to
the same permission bit in socket vs file classes.
open of a socket via /proc/pid/fd is not supported by the kernel regardless
and will ultimately return ENXIO. But we hit the permission check first and
can thus produce these odd/misleading denials. Omit the open check when
operating on a socket.

This happens because bind() unconditionally copies |size| bytes of
|addr| to the kernel, leaving the rest uninitialized. Then
security_socket_bind() reads the IP address bytes, including the
uninitialized ones, to determine the port, or e.g. pass them further to
sel_netnode_find(), which uses them to calculate a hash.

We can't do anything reasonable in security_bounded_transition() if we
don't have a policy loaded, and in fact we could run into problems
with some of the code inside expecting a policy. Fix these problems
like we do many others in security/selinux/ss/services.c by checking
to see if the policy is loaded (ss_initialized) and returning quickly
if it isn't.

The syzbot/syzkaller automated tests found a problem in
security_context_to_sid_core() during early boot (before we load the
SELinux policy) where we could potentially feed context strings without
NUL terminators into the strcmp() function.
We already guard against this during normal operation (after the SELinux
policy has been loaded) by making a copy of the context strings and
explicitly adding a NUL terminator to the end. The patch extends this
protection to the early boot case (no loaded policy) by moving the context
copy earlier in security_context_to_sid_core().

In the absence of commit a4298e4522d6 ("net: add SOCK_RCU_FREE socket
flag") and all the associated infrastructure changes to take advantage
of a RCU grace period before freeing, there is a heightened
possibility that a security check is performed while an ill-timed
setsockopt call races in from user space. It then is prudent to null
check sk_security, and if the case, reject the permissions.
Because of the nature of this problem, hard to duplicate, no clear
path, this patch is a simplified band-aid for stable trees lacking the
infrastructure for the series of commits leading up to providing a
suitable RCU grace period. This adjustment is orthogonal to
infrastructure improvements that may nullify the needed check, but
could be added as good code hygiene in all trees.

In kernel version 4.1, tracefs was separated from debugfs into its
own filesystem. Prior to this split, files in
/sys/kernel/debug/tracing could be labeled during filesystem
creation using genfscon or later from userspace using setxattr. This
change re-enables support for genfscon labeling.

SELinux tries to support setting/clearing of /proc/pid/attr attributes
from the shell by ignoring terminating newlines and treating an
attribute value that begins with a NUL or newline as an attempt to
clear the attribute. However, the test for clearing attributes has
always been wrong; it has an off-by-one error, and this could further
lead to reading past the end of the allocated buffer since commit
bb646cdb12e75d82258c2f2e7746d5952d3e321a ("proc_pid_attr_write():
switch to memdup_user()"). Fix the off-by-one error.
Even with this fix, setting and clearing /proc/pid/attr attributes
from the shell is not straightforward since the interface does not
support multiple write() calls (so shells that write the value and
newline separately will set and then immediately clear the attribute,
requiring use of echo -n to set the attribute), whereas trying to use
echo -n "" to clear the attribute causes the shell to skip the
write() call altogether since POSIX says that a zero-length write
causes no side effects. Thus, one must use echo -n to set and echo
without -n to clear, as in the following example:
$ echo -n unconfined_u:object_r:user_home_t:s0 > /proc/$$/attr/fscreate
$ cat /proc/$$/attr/fscreate
unconfined_u:object_r:user_home_t:s0
$ echo "" > /proc/$$/attr/fscreate
$ cat /proc/$$/attr/fscreate
Note the use of /proc/$$ rather than /proc/self, as otherwise
the cat command will read its own attribute value, not that of the shell.
There are no users of this facility to my knowledge; possibly we
should just get rid of it.
UPDATE: Upon further investigation it appears that a local process
with the process:setfscreate permission can cause a kernel panic as a
result of this bug. This patch fixes CVE-2017-2618.

kernel_read_file replaced kernel_module_from_file in the 4.6 kernel.
There are no inode_security_() helper functions (also introduced in
4.6) so the inode lookup is done using the file_inode() helper which
is standard for kernel version < 4.6.

Add module_load permission to the system class.
Enforces restrictions on kernel module origin when calling the
finit_module syscall. The hook checks that source type has
permission module_load for the target type.
Example for finit_module:
allow foo bar_file:system module_load;
Similarly restrictions are enforced on kernel module loading when
calling the init_module syscall. The hook checks that source
type has permission module_load with itself as the target object
because the kernel module is sourced from the calling process.
Example for init_module:
allow foo foo:system module_load;

flask.h was included in the above file. This is autogenerated header
which gets produced during compilation of selinux. This causes issues
for other module (PFK) which includes objsec.h and compiles after
selinux. Since removal of the above headers does not break compilation,
they seem to be redundant and can be removed.

PFK is a new module that accompanies eCryptfs and
enables it to utilize ICE hw encryption engine. Module
is responsible for storing encryption/decryption keys
inside eCryptfs inodes for each file and loading them
to ICE

NOT intended for new Android devices - this commit is unnecessary
for a target device that does not have a previous M variant.
DO NOT upstream. Android only.
Motivation:
This commit mitigates a mismatch between selinux kernel and
selinux userspace. The selinux ioctl white-listing binary policy
format that was accepted into Android M differs slightly from what
was later accepted into the upstream kernel. This leaves Android
master branch kernels incompatible with Android M releases. This
patch restores backwards compatibility. This is important because:
1. kernels may be updated on a different cycle than the rest of the
OS e.g. security patching.
2. Android M bringup may still be ongoing for some devices. The
same kernel should work for both M and master.
Backwards compatibility is achieved by checking for an Android M
policy characteristic during initial policy read and converting to
upstream policy format. The inverse conversion is done for policy
write as required for CTS testing.

rootfs (ramfs) can support setting of security contexts
by userspace due to the vfs fallback behavior of calling
the security module to set the in-core inode state
for security.* attributes when the filesystem does not
provide an xattr handler. No xattr handler required
as the inodes are pinned in memory and have no backing
store.
This is useful in allowing early userspace to label individual
files within a rootfs while still providing a policy-defined
default via genfs.

commit fa1aa143ac ("selinux: extended permissions for ioctls")
introduced a bug into the handling of conditional rules, skipping the
processing entirely when the caller does not provide an extended
permissions (xperms) structure. Access checks from userspace using
/sys/fs/selinux/access do not include such a structure since that
interface does not presently expose extended permission information.
As a result, conditional rules were being ignored entirely on userspace
access requests, producing denials when access was allowed by
conditional rules in the policy. Fix the bug by only skipping
computation of extended permissions in this situation, not the entire
conditional rules processing.
